When Examined Thoroughly Photo Shows Indisputable Evidence That Lincoln Had a Dog
10-7-2008
WASHINGTON, D.C. - While Virtual Dog Park's head intern, Barry Cancur, was aimlessly searching through old computer photo submission files last month he came across possibly the most important photo in history. It is believed by most experts to be the last photo ever taken of President Abraham Lincoln.
The photo which coincidently was also the first photo ever submitted to Virtual Dog Park has been authenticated by forensic scientists and historians familiar with photos from that period of American history.
The photo was originally submitted on April 24, 1865 just moments after Lincoln's death by his wife Mary Todd Lincoln. At the time her explanation for the submission was, "I just wanted to let everybody see how cute and cuddly Mandingo Looked."
Mandingo was Lincoln's vicious pet Black German Sheppard that had to be chained to a steel pipe in the White House basement 24/7 due to his tendency to bite everyone.
"Lincoln let Mandingo accompany him to the theatre on the fateful day that the photo was taken. That crazy dog loved Broadway Musicals", said Ben Thomas, Ford's Theatre ticket manager.
Many people at the time in Washington D.C. had only speculated about Mandingos existence. This photo was the first real proof.
As of this printing nearly 144 years after Lincoln's death puzzled scientists and historians are fiercely examining the photo to determine the significance of the gun in the upper right hand quadrant of the photo.
